  1. Sir,
Ur valuable take on Mafatlal Inds

  2. Sir, i used the search option for Mafatlal but no results….so asked u.

    • oh man…this is strange….anyways, we need to see how they build the brand, so far, they have managed to come out of woods, they have a great brand but lets see how they plan to use it for the growth of business.

  3. mano3427 says:

do u think it is still a buy

  4. ajith says:

please comment on celestial lab,Tilak nagar industries & pennar industries.

  5. mano3427 says:

next time when u post an idea, pls do it in market hours
atleast some of us will get a chance to buy that
see what is happening with cupid

    • pls see my reply about it. do not get fixated at one price point. as i explained earlier ppl said the same thing about V2, it went up 50% in UC, then it broke UC, came down 15-20% and then again UC…even if you had brought at the last circuit you would have gained 50% till date. 50% is massive gains my friend, do not get fixated at one price point or else you’ll loose opportunity.

  6. Pramod Malav says:

last 5 days we getting only UC 😦 😦 😦

  7. Pramod Malav says:

I know sir but i am following u from last 5 days , want to buy it now and for my poor friend i told him to invest in market and V2 retail will be good but now 😦

  8. rashmi says:

hi ace, would like to know your views on madhucon and sudar ind as a value buy

  9. Sameer Anand says:

    Hi ACE,
Cupid, Orient beverages, Aimco – Upper circuits continue unabated. Aimco would make no sense to buy at 60 levels ( that is where I guess it would come out of circuit).

If Cupid goes to 50 levels with upper circuits, all value would be captured there.

Even though you have the best of intentions to help small retail investors, unwittingly the speculators are cornering thew free float and jacking up the price .

As many fellow investors have already commented, please recommend new stocks during market hours. Then at least we would have level playing field with operators.

Eagerly waiting for your next pick.

    • I see your point, but still hard to believe that operators would be bothered about any stock mentioned in my blog. I mean there are hardly many followers, but i’ll look into it. And cupid would not go to 50rs in circuit for sure. but buy it when it opens. its an interesting pick

      • Prashant says:

        Dear aceinvestortrader,
definitely some big shots are following silently else how come selling volume will dry up suddenly and who is buying 4-5 lack of stocks as single bid ?

they posted super profit in 2014 almost 6 times.

    • i know, but still investigating . earnings should be sustainable and not one-off. Remember the pomoter holding has come down quite a bit in last few yrs (probably pledge getting executed)

  18. M Prabhu says:

    Dear Ace,

Can you share your idea on ” Aksh Optic Fiber” with the current market price. is that right time to enter or wait for some corrections.

  19. Salim Khan says:

Hi ace….in case circuit breaks what will be the best price to buy aimco, orient breveges, Cupid…..

  20. Salim Khan says:

Agree to Sameer’ request. Operators are taking advantage…but again until there is a confidential notification to small investors via e-mail etc situation may be same!

    • i do not think operators are playing because even they would not be getting anything, if its on circuit, still do not have a clue why would they do it. so probably its not operators.

      • Jitendra says:

        Dear Ace,

When you recom any scrip, you see the orders before 9.15am, you will know that orders placed are 4-5 lakhs or even more. So you can say that someone otherthan small investors are after the stock.

        • thats not right. I also place orders at pre-open and lot of people i know do that. Yes maybe not in lacs πŸ™‚ but a bit of quantity and if the number of people are more than it might make the total numbers look great. But i do not understand what stops you from pre-open ordering.

    Hi All,
Circuit broken, available at 30.50 right now ,please dont come back and ask again when next UC hits …
    Thanks & Regards,

    • ha ha ha….now the problem is that people would hope that the stock will probably go down further and everyday they will hope that and therefore, wont buy…suddenly some big guy who finds value in the stock will come and buy a huge chunk and most of the investors would be left with nothing…

    • dharmesh says:

All the selling is being absorbed in V2 and its itching to go back on UC πŸ™‚

Hello, Thanks for your fantastic service. God bless you & your family. Can you throw some light on how Income Tax is calculated on Short Term ( Less than a year selling) & Long Term ( > 1 year selling) gains?

    • long term gain is tax-free..so nothing. short term is 15% on you “profits”. + 3% of the total short term tax.
      for example
Cost of shares bought – Rs 100,000
Price of same units sold after within an year, say after 9 months – Rs 120,000
Short Term Capital Gains – Rs 20,000
      Tax Applicable – 20,000 x 15%= Rs 3000
      Education Cess – 3000 x 3%=Rs 90
Total Tax payable = Rs 3090

thanks ! really appreciate the quick reverts ! would love to know a bit about the software you which you use in your analysis. it must be custom made for sure, i feel. i’ve been extensively using the freely available screener tool online and it has helped a lot. i have a computer science background so just curious. (as far as you’re comfortable disclosing it). if you run scripts/algorithms on data dumps, wondering how you do it.

sudarshan sukhani uses a software customized according to his requirements for technical analysis. he sells the same as well.

        • as i had said earlier in one of the responses, that i am possessive about the techniques that i have used, and so much so, that i have not filed for patents also. money is not the criteria here, interest is. As you might be knowing by now its ofcourse self evolving AI based adaptive neural network. only the techniques are different.

  74. anuj says:

    Hi Ace,

Is it advisable to enter Cupid at these levels. Please give your opinion what you would do?

  75. Kiran says:

    Hi Ace,

What is your opinion about Innoventive Industries? Its steel tube manufacturing company supplying to auto/oil&gas industry. Its CDR case but looks like improving.

    • yes, i know and track this. it had a lot of promise but last few yrs destroyed the company. Do not get into it right now IMHO. there are much better companies available. If you want high risk look for companies like cupid and v2. also if you could wait for a couple of more days , you could evaluate a new idea i m going to put up. But cupid is better than innoventive. innoventive will have a long long way to go.

    • indianbull10 says:

“If you want high risk look for companies like cupid and v2” What u mean by this statement? You mean its high risk to invest in companies like V2 and Cupid? Sorry, but i could not get your intention with that statement 😦

      • any small cap is high risk, because its very volatile. It can go up and down 25% in a jiffy.

      • indianbull10 says:

but i hope V2 is still a buy. based on our last discussions i was able to purchase V2 shares on friday through my mobile – the best part being my cruel manager not even getting a sniff.

        • risky investment does not mean that those investments are useless, they are simply undiscovered and more volatile, but if the underlying business is good, you tend to make tons of money. Cupid and V2 and others recommended here IMHO are wonderful stocks and should give multi-fold returns in time to come BUT if you yourself are not convinced that there’s value in the V2 business it would not help coz one bad quarter and some price damage you would be getting out and losing on the potential gains. So its important that you believe the business is good. if you are asking me this question, then its clear you are worried about something. The conviction has to be strong and in small caps, conviction has to be rock solid.

      • indianbull10 says:

just that i am relatively new to investing in markets and based on your blog I have started to dedicate more time to study companies and their business, but mostly on weekends. During the week, I am occupied because of work pressure. So I cannot keep a track on daily basis of my investments. Also, coz of my manager me n my colleagues are always on a burner. So that is the only concern that I cannot track my investments on a daily basis. Thank you for answering all my queries.

      • indianbull10 says:

  79. ravi multani says:

    Thanks for ur superfast reply
i bought singer recently…i m planning to buy cupid..whts ur view on cupid when its circuit break at wht level so can i buy…

    • you should buy whenever you get chance. if you are convinced about the story and you realize the real value of stock VS the price that you are paying while buying your doubts would erase.

  83. sanjeev says:

hello ace… any other listed company in the same sector as cupid ?.
Decreasing International rubber prices will be positive for cupid?

  84. Chirag says:

hey ace, a friend uses india infoline trading services. was speaking to him today. he told me that his broker had been pushing him to buy cupid and v2 since the last 1 week. though he hash’t done so as he prefers bluechips, i’m very sure your blog, by now, is ACTIVELY followed for tips amongst most broker circles in big firms. he told me that the broker told him everything about cupid which surprised him since they usually don’t do so!

assuming that there are many more who give in and buy, most of your research is just being used by these brokers wholl probably just dump the stock a month or two later to book profits for their clients. these guys definitely don’t buy with conviction and its unfair. they dont know jack about the company.

would be great if you’ve thought of any way to solve this problem!

    • dont get anxious my friend. If they dump it, smart investors would take the opportunity in buying into it. Moreover, these small brokers cannot buy huge amounts, because ultimately, its retail investors who are buying. These guys are not operators so do not worry. If the earnings keep growing no market can ignore that. See, what happened with Waterbase Company kept growing at 50% CAGR and in spite of being a part of ignored industry now its a darling of investors and will continue to do so. So cheer up. Biggest money is made not by buying and selling stocks but by holding on to winner. Stocks fluctuate, but if the underlying story is good, it will keep on making new highs. God Bless.

      • Chirag says:

hmm.. fair enough.. looking into bodal chemicals.. now don’t know whether you’re tracking or not but these are the points i found –

1 it manufactures chemicals and dyestuffs with majority of raw material also prepared in house.. end to end integration more or less
2 had applied for cdr in 2012.. got approval and just came out of cdr cell last quarter by successfully paying off the amount under restructuring.. showed exceptional fin performance in last 5 quarters
3 management feels confident in clocking revenue higher by 30% this FY (according to AR)
4 with crude prices cooling down, inputs will also become cheap – very evident as op profit margin increased by almost 10%

now there are no more sources for me to conduct further research.. ive already spent the entire morning googling.. are there any general insights related to indian chemical industry that you can share ? for eg china is facing a tough time manufacturing because of regulatory issues so thats a plus.. might help me take into account other variables

sorry for such long posts! want to know as much as possible to strengthen my conviction!

  107. J Gopal says:

    Dear Ace,

Thanks for your quick reply. Let us keep the news aside. what’s your view on Onmobile Global as a stock for long term investment ?

  108. Ankit says:

hi ace, any views on amtek auto. It has consolidated quite a bit and auto ancillary stocks are on rise.

  109. Bloodrayne says:

    Hello Ace,
The volumes of Cupid are extremely high (more than 50x) , with a huge sell order in the morning.
Any particular reason to trigger such a massive sell off ?

    • is it sell or buy? last someone posed it was UC…after opening of UC…so thats not selling its buying dont you think so ??

      • Bloodrayne says:

Orders are getting executed only because someone is selling. It UC in the morning, but then was trading at 2-3% during the day, and is at UC again.
My only question is – Is there some reason why someone would sell 8 lakh+ shares of Cupid? (not denying that there is a buy/demand for 8 lakh+ shares)

        • yes, and for the same logic there were more than 8 lacs buyers and are waiting for more. The questions becomes is there any particular reason that people would buy 8+ lacs shares and still looking to buy? Do not track every minute of stock. Does not help. The stock has given 30% returns of a week …its very good. Buy only if you have conviction or one could take out the profits. In my case I am bullish but pls do your own profile. God Bless

Hi ACE, what’s your take on Sunil Hitech and Orchid chemical and Steel Strips wheels?
is anyone of them attracts you?

Also, would like to know about Mayur Uniqoters and Dhanuka agritech? can they be added on declines? if you’re positive?

    • yes. those are good defensive bets but remember mayur is pretty expensive. May not run up like in past

Thanks for so prompt reply sir. noticed from past few post comments that you like only 8-10 stocks out of 100 stocks put across by reader. seems like your are very cautious and safe in picking up stocks. I cannot judge your selection criteria at all. however, i like your bets a lot.

        • pls do not call me sir, i dont understand why everybody keeps calling me sir. Feel free to call me aceinvestortrader. Yes one has to be selective, and careful because in this super bull market everything is going up. The real quality stocks would only survive whenever the next 10-15% kind of correction comes. Everything will correct then, but the one with highest quality would correct very less. That is where one should b be. I buy the stock who can double triple and more in next 1-2 yrs. No point in buying too many stocks also, i believe in concentrated portfolio and therefore, the stocks i think cannot go up multi-fold is not a buy for me. And since I am only in small caps, the research has to be rock solid because these small caps could be value traps too. Therefore, research research research and only then buy. Best of luck with your investments.

    • nitin…nothing substantial right now. Wait for a couple of days if you want to invest in something. May come out with a research on a very very high quality idea. Interacted with a management today. Hang on in case you do not have any pressing idea to invest in.

Could you please check Store one retail India? The numbers seem to good to be true on screener.

Roce – 51% roa – 34% Debt – 0, roe 57% opm – 35%, npm 32% sales, 31cr. Promoters have increase stake by 5%. All these numbers seem far better then v2 retail. Im thinking of investing but it seems to good to be true. what your view?
