Your opinion on RSWM Ltd please.

      • Mayur says:

Dolly Kahnna and Anil Goel (Ambika investor) entered into RSWM…would it be another Ambika in making sir??

        • let anyone enter any stock sir, that does not change my opinions because i have my own way to looking at stocks, therefore, dont like. Ambika is not made in a day…see last 15 yrs performance of ambika…. anyways, this is just my view and should not stop you or anyone from researching RSWM. For me… i am not interested.

          • Mayur says:

🙂 I like the way you reply. you are more experienced than us and knows better how to evaluate companies. So point taken.

            • see, its not about experience…basically our decision should be based on data and that drives the conviction. probably they know something that i dont and since i dont know it its an unknown and i am not willing to bet on unknown. also lets not forget that RJ bought hawkins and sold it in double digits and bought bilcare in high triple digits and sold in double digits, so people who follow big buys blindly could get into real soup so trust your own conviction and research

  23. STP says:

Sir.. unable to buy Katwa Udyog / Keshav Cements… Wake up everyday to find it locked in upper circuit! :/

dear ace i have 1500 aimco pesticide @68 purchased 6 months back. After touching 37 it is now 52 .Your valued guidance will help me a lot in deciding future course of action ,
pls. reply for which i shall be highly obliged

    rgds sanjeevjain

  26. sanjeev jain says:

sir your valued guidance on holding it further .Is it safe share or should i get out at loss.

  27. sanjeev jain says:

Sir when i purchased aimco i looked at 2 factors 1) debt free balance sheet and 2) experience that promoters must have learn t from previous loss which they have cleaned.
other then this i dont have any knowledge about the share, ,its model of business .
My take when i purchased was positive but the fall in share price from 68 to 38 some doubts arose in mind which an intelligent mind like you can only clear ,so your guidance that i can keep it and recover my loss
    sanjeev jain

    • how can you buy a share without any knowledge of it? see, we do not buy clothes without checking if they fit us or not, seeing if the price is right for our pocket or not etc….you should understand what you are buying and more importantly why? if you had researched the company then you would have got conviction on the stock and when the stock went so down, you would have had the courage to average out. when you want to buy something, and you find sale on it, you’ll feel great..right…and suddenly if you also get an increment in your job, then nothing like it….right? similarly when stocks give sale (goes way below your purchase price) and you get an increment (earnings of stock increase – remember the earnings grew from last year), the ideal thing is to back your conviction. but unfortunately, conviction does not come without understanding the business ….so pls understand what you are doing with your money…buy only if you understand something…God Bless

      • Sanjit says:

Dear Ace, I understood what u wanted to convey. But unfortunately very few people like me who really dont understand the entire jargon of financial management. Yes i know a bit but unlike most of the followers here i am not that good. By profession I am a doctor but interested to learn few tricks to invest not trade in stock market. my request when u reply, sometimes and my request only, pl explain why or why not. This will help investors like me. Last one, Pl give ur views on SKM and I can tell u i am happy with the management. but this stock is not performing compared to few of the similarly peers though it does not have any direct peers.

God bless u Brother. U are taking care of the financial health of so many people.

        • skm has already performed quite a bit. its up around 5 times in last one year, what else can a investor want? Also with livestock based stocks the risk would always be there so dont make it the biggest bet in the portfolio.

  28. Manoj says:

    Hi sir,

Can we enter Freshtrop Fruits at CMP of 80 .

waiting for your valuable advice .

      • Naren says:

Dear Ace, wrt comments on SKM you gave to Mr.Sanjiv that not to bet big on livestock business due to risk nature, can same be applied to Freshtrop due to it’s over dependence on seasons which is again a risk? Or am I missing something here that makes Freshtrop worthier than SKM? Englighten us!

        • absolutely right…freshtrop and skm are both having similar risks though waterbase is much less risky…why so… try to find out…think about it….

          • Naren says:

Ace, Ur reply may see these two stocks in selling pressure. HaHa! (Kidding)
Btw Is it bcoz of WaterBase’s diverge presence world wide (as it exports to different countries), therein limiting the seasonal or disease influence in one part?
Also, I assume Stock Market itself is a risk involved and it’s for this risk one is awarded with gains ( may be a loss too). I think investors can stay patient with SKM and Freshtrop.
Disc. My assumptions may go wrong though!

            • if somebody is selling freshtrop or skm because of this then its pretty “stupid” of them because these two are wonderful companies run by capable managements. both have made big money for investors and some bit of consolidation is always possible in any stock. see even waterbase and v2 was consolidation for so many quarters and now look at them. every company has some inherent risks and i just highlighted the risks i perceive in these two companies but by any means it does not mean that they are bad companies. infact IMHO these two are very good breed of companies. They should reward the shareholders in the long run. also stock markets are not risk IMHO, they are just volatile and these volatility is perceived as risks, that’s all. people who can stand this volatility stand to gain big time here. God Bless

  31. STP says:

Talking of the macro environment, sir, nifty has closed above 8600… is ur view on “sell on rise” market still in tact? Also, I am sure u must have noticed that the PE for nifty is around 23.5; whereas historically nifty has shown sharp corrections in the P/E range of 25-27… As such, what is ur view on Indian markets at the current situation?

Disc: I am convinced that there will always be good stocks to invest in under all situations… Just wanted to know your view on the broader index..

  32. h j dalal says:

    Dear sir,

  53. vimal says:

Hi, ur view on Phoenix Lamps?

  54. Harsh says:

Sir it may be a wrong question here but i have seen people earn returns like 50% in a month, 20% in a week and so on.. Like compounding money at 20-25% is considered great…Dont you think the bull market should end soon and in a bad way…Earning money looks easy to ppl but what will happen in a bear market…see so many ppl get impatient when a stock doesnt move for a few weeks or few months but stock price remaining constant is the most imp characterstic in a bear market..i know you follow stock specific approach rather then following index levels whether its sensex or nifty or midcaps/smallcaps..But a fall in such index will definitely drag the stock prices as well…I am just 2 years into market and 21 now and dont have much experience of dealing with crashes or correction of 20-30%…i want to learn what should be the stratergy to deal with all this..i really feel terified looking at the 2008-09 crash…sir if you want you can ignore this post as well

    • i would suggest you to not worry too much about bull or bear market and just focus on the stocks you own. even in the bear markets we have had small caps go up 5-10 times … people who wait for correct keep on waiting… and if you are so skeptical about losing money then think of whether you want to be in FDs or stock markets. Volatility is part of life here in stock markets and one should have courage to deal with it and courage comes from conviction which in turn comes by researching your stocks …

      • Harsh says:

Surely sir i have the risk appetite thats why all my holdings are majorly micro and small caps as i know wealth is created in cant expect reliance or tata grp cos to give you that retuns going forward..But i am still fairly inexperienced in markets and wanted to hear about it..whatever stocks i own are well researched and i am not worried about prices as well till they are doin well

  55. Vandana says:
