Aimco Pesticides
Results are as expected though this quarter the OPMs were hit because of higher other expenses. The balance sheet is superb with no short or long term borrowing. There’s hardly any other company in the sector that can boast of such strong balance sheet. Cash balance has also soared. With the ownership now consolidated with the owner of the company there can be significant wealth creation in coming years and interestingly even the charts seem to suggest this. Let’s wait patiently while the story unfolds and hope for the best.
Mangalam Drugs
Good numbers and with management achieving what they had guided for. Balance sheet has improved significantly. Good numbers overall though lack of dividend was a little disappointing.
God Bless !!!
thanks for the update
Misleading views. As far as I can make out Sales down 20% QOQ. Other income higher by 35%. 300% increase in tax credit. Nothing great about the performance this Q or year!
misleading? really? sales would be down as the company is reducing its trading activities (which is positive as it will increase its OPMs) and tax credit on percentage terms is sounding high but on absolute numbers its not very big. Furthermore, tax credits for bifr companies are always expected. Its important to “understand” the numbers rather than blurting out mindlessly. The balance sheet is rock solid and when the company is recovering balance sheet repair gives a great leverage for future growth. God Bless
Good to heard..!!!
But Ace isn’t it great that they haven’t declared any dividend and are ploughing the profits into the business with the promoters also increasing their stake this quarter?
oh yes.. its certainly not negative for sure. its just that probably giving dividend could have improved re-rating but yes as your rightly pointed out its not bad at all. The stake increase is always known right because of warrants…but positive yes.
Oh yes 🙂
there is huge component on other income for aimco – can you tell what that is ?
most likely its a forex gain but you can get a clarification from CS
Ace, what do you make of the fact that sales have gone down? The increase in profit is only because of raw material prices having gone down. The MD in his interview was also appearing a little evasive on the queries on sales coming down this quarter.
are you talking about mangalam ?
Yes. I am referring to Mangalam.
yes, its been down but one or two quarters cannot be termed as trend. so far the management has met guidance so if he is guiding for another 25-30% growth, then overall it should be good for the stock.
Thanks Ace!

looks like you are also hit with the SEBI bug and are avoiding posting new picks which we respect. How about starting a thread with relevant discussions about promising upcoming smallcaps. No reference to buy or sell or discussions thereabout, but just the business model and future prospects of the company. More like educated discussion

Ace may I know why you’re not interested in Kakatiya Cements as you had mentioned earlier? Good cash reserves and low debt. Another Andhra based cement company. Growth prospects are great. The stock has had a fantastic run already during this year. But there must be a reason why you weren’t interested in this stock. May I know why Ace?

Dear Ace, Valiant Communication result is out. Key Hightlights: Revenue up 21% on yoy basis, 775% on qoq basis. Profit up from loss of Rs 13 Lacs to profilt of 21 lacs.
In their Key Highlights section,I could not understand the statement “Due to favorable decissions, the contingent liability has been reduced to 69 lac from 639 lac”. Is it related to the tax they owed?
Really appreciate if you can provide your view.
Regards,
Jagadish
